“We came into the world like brother and brother; And now let’s go hand in hand, not one before another.”
Well, Shakespeare got it right and this perfect pair of brothers should be homed together, forever.
Introducing ALLY and his brother ED.
We know it's another big ask for adopters to consider homing a pair of hounds, but these boys are so lovely together and therefore we are asking again. Bonded pairs often settle more easily into home life, are company and playmates for each other, give each other confidence in the early days AND look very impressive when walked together!
ED and ALLY are the current kennel babies, just 2 years old and indeed act like it, they are very young and sweet.
ALLY has gleaming, jet black fur. Both boys are athletic and beautifully built.
ED and ALLY have only very recently arrived at kennels and are currently settling into kennel routines and getting to know their fellow homeless hounds, staff and volunteers. They are also enjoying spotting the abundant furry critters that inhabit the woods here. Each day, as familiarity grows, they will become more confident. They are walking well together and are an absolute delight.
Both boys have visited the park (separately for this first occasion) and here's how ALLY got on - remember this is very early days for him, he will have never been to a busy park before:
ALLY’s park visit.
ALLY was a bit reluctant to go in the car, both there and back, but was wagging his tail getting out. He was more confident than his brother, ED. ALLY seemed very interested in his surroundings, always looking around. ALLY met a labrador and was happy to sniff but was quite laid back and soon got bored! He was good with the labrador’s owner, good at meeting people. ALLY met a second dog and again did not give much of a reaction. When ALLY saw dogs running about in the distance, he got really excited, jumping around. Oh ALLY, you were a super, good boy. Like ED, ALLY will benefit from nice positive introductions to new experiences.
These brothers will make amazing companions.
