Brindle, bright and beautiful. BENNY is another recent arrival, having pitched up to kennels in June with his sister MAGIC, who has already found a loving home. BENNY is just beautiful, head-turningly beautiful, that's simply all there is to it! A young, stripy boy, tall and confident and just 3 years old, BENNY will surely not be waiting around long. BENNY has already been to the park to get an idea of his personality and behaviours. BENNY jumped into the car and with a little encouragement, he settled for the short trip. On arriving at the park he was exited for his walk and raring to get going. BENNY walks well beside his handler and was alert to his surroundings. When he spotted a rabbit up ahead, he was, not surprisingly excited, but he was not unmanageable. (he had a harness on). This is highly recommended and is a must for some newly adopted hounds. At the open park area, BENNY was observant, he saw dogs in the distance and was interested. When he met a terrier, he happily exchanged sniffs, then he met a bichon frisé and, once again, BENNY was sociable, having a sniff, but after that seemed to forget it was there! An off lead small poodle came close but didn’t hang around – BENNY got a bit whiny at not being able to meet it properly. He seemed ok with traffic passing, although was slightly nervy hearing a motor bike pass. BENNY is sociable and would make a good companion with another dog, subject to the usual measured meet ups, or he may be just as happy as an only hound with plenty of company. As with many rescue dogs, BENNY has had no experience of the outside world, so would need gentle introductions to his new life, giving him lots of time, patience and love. BENNY has the makings of a wonderful pet and is sure to bring much happiness to his lucky adopter. Please call Celia on 07826 244765 if BENNY might be the hound for you. |
