August’s Dog of the month is a very special boy who requires a special home. Bruno needs an experienced and patient owner, in an adult only setting, where he can thrive. He is GRF’S oldest hound at 6 yrs old (7 in November) and has been in rescue for 18 months, this poor boy has been waiting patiently for so long and now deserves to put his paws up and enjoy his best life. Bruno is a medium sized hound with a glossy coat, and has a sweet baby face, he looks very cute. He is a playful soul who loves zoomies in the run and to play with his toys and burn off lots of energy. Bruno is a foodie, he loves his meals and is partial to a gravy bone or two, hint, hint if you are coming for a visit to the rescue. Since being kennelled with the lively Mia, Bruno has come out of his shell and his personality has blossomed, he adores her and they are just lovely together. There is a possibility with the right, measured introductions Bruno could maybe live with the right dog or he could be an only hound. He is alert on walks and has a high prey drive so he could not live with any small fury creatures. He is a good walker and loves adventure and to explore in Celia’s wood with Mia. Although a good walker on the lead he can be cranky whilst on walks with a few male dogs here at GRF, caused by the stress of being in busy kennels for so long. He also has his quirks, his obsession for brooms and brushes is one. Bruno loves his favourite people and he is popular with volunteers, he will make a wonderful, loving pet. Having run his socks off, doing 112 races, he deserves a chance of a forever home, he should not have to face a lifetime stuck in kennels. We’re not giving up hope and as he approaches his 7th birthday the perfect gift would be cosied up in a loving home, living his best life.
