Charlie 14
This gorgeous pirate boy came to kennels as "CHICKEN" but has been renamed CHARLIE. Of course, his forever people can choose his moniker, but CHARLIECHICKEN has a nice ring to it ??!

CHARLIE is another new pup, he is only 3 years old and he already pretty Zen in his kennel, happy to lie with crossed paws watching the world go by. He is a nice walker on the lead and has shown himself to be comfortable around both male and female hounds, and happy to take the odd treat or two from volunteers.

CHARLIE has just been to the local park. After initial reluctance, he was lifted into the car and, as soon as the car was moving, CHARLIE settled down. He was good on the lead and showed no interest in chasing the rabbits on the path in front of him.

He became excited / playful when meeting his first dog, a bichon frise. And again, when he met a female spaniel and a medium sized terrier. CHARLIE was calm on the high street, even when a labrador was walking a short distance ahead of him. He lastly met Arnold the dalmatian, who was very good with CHARLIE who in turn was chilled with Arnold.

Smart cookie CHARLIE walked straight towards the car at the end of his outing and, after a quick circle, jumped into the car needing no help. A fast learner! Good lad.

We think CHARLIECHICKEN is best suited to a household with no resident young children or visiting young children, as their play style would be too much for him. Sensible teens and above, or adult would be ideal.

Our pirate boy is just lovely and will make a great companion.
