Gooch.

Whilst sitting in my armchair
Having a quiet nap
I felt my Greyhound nuzzle up
His head fell in my lap.
It's reassuring just to know
He's always by my side,
And when we go out walking
My heart is full of pride.
To me he is so beautiful,
A friend so loyal and true,
No other Greyhound is as loved
Half as much as you.

Dedicated to Gooch who came to Lexus Greyhound Rescue for homing from Thornbury Animal Sanctuary. I think he has found his home with Pat. Gooch had his head kicked in and his nose broken, but he has made a wonderful recovery.
