Lilly

Three years old Lily is a beautiful, larger lady and quite well built for a girl. She has a stunning black coat, white tuxedo and white socks. Her eyes are dark and they catch your gaze, she is an exquisite looking greyhound. On her arrival she was very shy and unsure of people and her surroundings, however she is slowly getting used to kennel life and is building trust with people here. Prior to going out for her walks she has now started to wag her tail with excitement, which is lovely to see. In the early days in a home it would be recommended that she is given time to adjust and settle in her new surroundings, including being introduced to new people in a slow and measured way. Lily is friendly with fellow greyhounds and walks well with them. She is pulley and strong on a lead at the start of walks, so would benefit from a harness and some lead training. On a walk at the park Lily was a good girl, although quite excitable for a new adventure. She was controllable but does have a habit of walking under her handlers feet, again lead training will remedy this behaviour. When she saw other dogs at the park she ignored them and there was no reaction. Lily would make a lovely companion for an another dog, with the usual slow and measured successful introductions. As she has little experience of the outside world she would need gentle introductions to her new life, with few expectations put on her in the early days, allowing time to get used to life as a pet. Could you offer a loving home to wonderful Lily? If so please call Celia on 07826 244765 for more information on the adoption process.
