If only I could see deep into your mind
A past so cruel and so unkind
My only wish to set you free
And watch the proud dog running in the breeze.

I cherished the time you gave to me
Saw the dog for what you could be
You learned to love, to accept man
But your ghost of past had done it's damage.

Run free my friend but wait for me
Free from pain, free from the shadows
This isn't goodbye of that I am sure
Run free my friend, until I see you once more.
