In Memoriam Page 4.

Jake If I have any beliefs about immortality, it is that certain dogs I have known will go to heaven, and very, very few persons.
- James Thurber.
JAKE 12 September 2002 - 30 May 2013.

Jimmy and Celia's darling Jake. You were never any bother. You were our perfect greyhound and most loving friend. We loved you so very much too, darling boy. Your pain is now gone, so run as of old, on new pastures over Rainbow Bridge.
Goodbye lovely big boy.
Your loving mummy and daddy, Celia and Jimmy.
The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man's.
- Mark Twain, Letter to W D Howells, 4/2/1899.
She's gone but will never be forgotten, always in our hearts. --- Isobel.
Casey Tasha
To our darling little spaniel boy Casey, who allowed our greyhound Lass to share his home and his favourite sofa. Casey was a rescue boy who came to us in 2007 and turned our world upside down with his antics. Casey crossed rainbow bridge on the 28th August 2013 and will forever live on our hearts, and the hearts of the many people who grew to love him with us. Sleep tight little boy xxx
Jean, Thomas and Lass Marshall.
In loving memory of my sweet baby girl Tasha, passed away in May 2013 age 12 years. Love from your mum Janice.
Ebony, died 30 August 2013 age 11 years. We will never forget you Ebs. Love Marilyn and John. Bye bye Sniff - you truly made my heart sing. In memory of a beautiful, loving and gentle best friend. Such a lot of quirkiness and curiosity, such a lot of life and love, and such a lot of sleep! You were loved by everyone who knew you and will be missed, especially by me. Sniff died 9 January 2014.
Nefertiti Jake
Her name was Nefertiti!
She was only with us for 24 hours. In this short time she touched our lives in a strange way. A hungry and weary one year old Podenca. She was the sweetest little thing. Her life was cut short and she died on January 14th 2014. A lasting impression that will never be forgotten.

Greg and Nicolai.
Jake, brother of Tasha who is higher on this page. Jake died 17 November 2014.

A new life is about to start
Where you'll be free from pain
Old-age - you'll shrug off like a cloak
And you'll be young again.

Love from mum and you friend Indi
Tui 10th December 2005 to 18th March 2014.
Lurcher from Fife who travelled to New Zealand and back with her family. She welcomed 3 other dogs to the pack and was the leader of them all. Her life was too short. Huge hole left in the Smith family. A monthly donation has been set up to GRF in Tui's memory. --- RIP Tui.
Beauty Beauty
Our dog Beauty passed away on April 5th, 2014. We will never forget the dog that made our house a home for 6 years and gave us an eternal love for greyhounds.
Love you bubs,
The Cuthberts.

Listen - can you hear your name?
He's calling you - my friend
Although you're slipping from me now -
This is not the end……………

A new life is about to start
Where you'll be free from pain
Old-age - you'll shrug off like a cloak
And you'll be young again.

Listen - can you hear Him call?
His voice is soft and low
And as you leave this earth behind
Remember - as you go…….

I'll not forget you my dear friend
Though we may be apart
Your mem'ry will remain with me -
Forever, in my heart.

Listen - He is calling still
Reaching out and so…..
Take His hand and slip away
It's time for you to go.

So many happy times we've shared
These, sadness can't erase
I feel that we’re together still
Tho' we've gone separate ways.

I'm listening - but there's no sound
You must have heard His voice
We both knew that the time had come
We knew there was no choice.

You've breathed your last - your eyes are closed
But this is not the end…….
For life at Rainbow Bridge awaits
Rest in Peace - dear friend.
