Ruby (2), shares her name with another of our little gems long term Ruby, who is also waiting for a home. Ruby (2) is a little jewel who has just turned three years old and is still puppy like, she’s playful, bouncy and full of fun. She’s a small girl with a sleek black coat and has stunning brown eyes. She is quite petite and will take up very little room. On arrival here, she was shy and unsure of people but she is starting to build confidence with staff and volunteers, her personality is starting to blossom. She is proving to be a little treat monster and a treat thief, she loves any treat and thinks they are all for her! She gets away with this of course, as she is so adorable and is sure to have her lucky adopter wrapped around her little paw in no time. She is a friendly and sociable girl with her kennel neighbours and loves to have a gentle sniff of them when she is out on walks (they like to catch up on all the latest kennel gossip, LOL). Walking on the lead she can be a bit excitable and jumps about to start but she settles down, she seems to walk calmer with another hound.

As Ruby (2) is so friendly and easy going we expect she could live with another dog, with slow and measured introductions to see how compatible they would be living together. With little experience of the outside world, we recommend gentle introductions for her in her new life, with time, patience and love to allow her to settle into a new life as a pet. She is a playful, sweet girl who has the makings of a loving pet and companion. Please ask about her.
