Sweet Scout is a striking, five year old who is sure to melt your heart. He is a gentle giant and he is ever so handsome. He is a glossy, black coated lad with attractive white markings including a lovely white chest with four white socks. He is a big fellow who is quite strong on a lead to start on his walk, but he settles down, walking well once he is out. He just wants to be loved and reassured, as he adores attention and a fuss, he will come to greet you at his kennel gate, nudging his head forward for a head scratch. Scout is sociable and friendly with fellow greyhounds and he currently walks well with kennel neighbour Candy, they trot along happily together on their daily walks. Scout would be best suited as an only hound, in an adult only home or with older dog savvy teenagers. Care should always be taken, as with any dog entering a home, to ensure he is given time and space to adjust, don’t overwhelm him, as he needs to settle into his new surroundings. We recommend with Scout that his space is kept small at first, to allow him time to get to know you and your immediate family before introducing a wider circle of friends and family. Scout will make an amazing pet and will take his lead from his new adopter to guide him, so time and patience is important, to allow him to settle into life outside of kennels.
