Wilfred

Aww, WILFRED, be still my beating heart. This 5 year old black boy is just as his name sounds. A decent lad, bit of a heartbreaker with frosty chops and a nice nature. WILFRED is quite short for a male dog, he is a friendly fellow, waggy tailed and happy to meet you - this boy likes a bit of attention. He is bouncy at the start of his walk, making little excited jumps eager to get out. Once out, WILFRED is good on the lead and fine with the other hounds. WILFRED has discovered the rabbits in the woods and is already an expert spotter.

At a recent visit to the park, WILFRED was quite excitable. It was most likely his first experience of this type of situation. He didn't show much reaction to dogs nearby. When he met a spaniel up close, there were sniffs at first and then a wee lunge, but it seemed more play than aggression. For dogs like WILFRED, recently off the track, the busy nature of a spaniel and it’s unexpected quick movements can cause a degree of excitement. More exposure to the sights and sounds of the big world and gentle introductions to other breeds, will help WILFRED adjust to his new life as a pet.
